Sternocleidomastoid muscles runs across front and side of the neck attached to the collar bone and back of skull. This is great exercise to relive pain your neck muscles.
To do this neck stretch exercise properly
- Lower your ear above your shoulder as far as you can go on one side
- Lift your chin until you feel stretch in the opposite side.
- Hold in this position for 15-30 seconds and do on other side
- Repeat this for two-three times
You can do this exercise by sitting on a chair or by standing with your feet straight and shoulder-width apart. Take care not to raise your shoulders in this exercise.
